Handicapping Process

Handicapping Software

Thoroughbred Analytics' proprietary handicapping software produces three important metrics to assist you in your handicapping analysis. We analyze over 40 factors using the past performance data for every horse in North America to produce our proprietary measures. We validate our calculated factors by comparing our results to actual historical data and tracking how closely we reflect actual results.

Our database partner, Equibase, is the official database provider for Thoroughbred Racing in North America. We receive updates from them continuously every racing day. Using this data our models are continuously updated as we receive entries and horse racing results from all tracks in North America.

Analytical Models

We build a series of analytical models based on these correlations and apply them to any horse you choose and rank them against all the horses running the same race. Within seconds, you have access to our handicapping results for every horse racing on the date of your choosing in all of North America.
